Restoring
When I talk about restoring, I mean BMX bikes from the 1980s and 1990s. Over the years, I’ve built a lot of experience in this field, including a deep understanding of the era’s historical context, the dos and don’ts, what can be done, and what should absolutely be avoided.
This covers decisions such as using the right parts, applying the correct techniques, when to repaint and when to try to preserve the original finish; when chemical paint stripping makes sense and when sandblasting is appropriate; when parts should be polished, when they should be sanded, or when they should not be touched at all. Through this process, I’ve also developed my own personal style.
