Robert Garo
Robert Garo is a well-known sports photographer, best known for his work in action photography and his close collaboration with Red Bull athletes. Being self-taught, he has consistently brought fresh ideas and unconventional concepts to his work, which ultimately led to his success at the Red Bull Illume photo contest.

We entered Red Bull Illume with the image Tiger & Turtle, shot in the summer of 2018, and went on to win the “Raw” category. The image is unedited and is the result of precise timing and solid technique.
Various Projects
From a Christmas card to a cliffhanger on a bridge near Frankfurt in live traffic, it was important to us that every shot was created in-camera — without staged compositions or anything done in Photoshop.
